Real estate agents do good for children with special needs

Families were impressed with The Therapy Place facelift thanks to a full day of volunteering by Keller Williams Palmetto. Over 30 real estate agents converged on the space for the annual company-wide RED DAY (Renew, Energize and Donate). The entire company in the United States and Canada is involved in a project taking place at The Therapy Place, a local pediatric therapy center. Volunteer realtors painted therapy rooms, hallways and preschool that had not been touched in the 10 years since the clinic opened. Estate agents also planted an herb garden and cleaned out outdoor play equipment. About

120 children attend therapeutic nursery school every week.

“We are experiencing a lot of wear and tear with so many people using the space every week. It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do in a place. We have received so much positive feedback from our families, ”said Dawn Darby, Executive Director of The Therapy Place. “We are more than grateful to have been chosen and for the many hours spent, as we could not have done it on our own. “

The Therapy Place is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with many improvements inside and out. An open house at the end of the summer will commemorate the milestone and open the new and improved space for the community to say thank you and offer tours.
